Not ALL of the people of Iceland agree with whaling. There a a healthy protest against whaling here in Iceland.

I only wish that the people of Iceland could respect the lives of the Minke Whales that they intend to slaughter. Reversing the policy on this issue sends out a very bad message about Iceland to the rest of the world.

I think it’s great that Sigur Rós have got on board with this project, further showing that not only are they the most talented act on the planet right now, but a curteous and considerate one too.

I have a great respect for these musicians and I hope it will make a difference. Hopefully it will create a pressure from other nations for us to stop building those power plants. The Icelandic politicians don´t seem to listen to us but are scared of bad publicity from abroad.
I´ll be there on Saturday.
